In the town of Chaise Dieu in France, a photographic documentation illustrates the architectural formations resulting from industrial forestry practices. These images depict the visual and structural consequences of large-scale forestry exploitation, highlighting the striking contrast between orderly elements manufactured by humans and a landscape that has lost its natural complexity and ecological diversity. • Process

  The process implemented in this article relies on a strong evocation of an archetype through a series of source images. This series is then reworked using the Midjourney automaton. In this particular case, the large-scale digital diffusion results from the combination of various photographs. The upstream work of selecting the photographs as well as their capture is essential here. In this research, the photographs originate from the study of the landscape in La Chaise-Dieu, a French rural village, conducted in 2019 with ENSASE.

  Le processus mis en œuvre dans cet article repose sur une évocation puissante d'un archétype à travers une série d'images sources. Cette série est ensuite retravaillée à l'aide de l'automate Midjourney. Dans ce cas précis, la diffusion en grand format numérique résulte de l'assemblage des différentes photographies. Le travail en amont de la sélection des photographies ainsi que leur prise de vue est ici indispensable. Dans cette recherche, les photographies proviennent de l'étude du paysage de La Chaise-Dieu, une commune en France, effectuée en 2019 avec ENSASE.
